Enhanced Solomon Login enforces tighter security rules on Solomon passwords and was developed to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 Section 404: "Management Assessment Of Internal Controls" on accounting systems.

Enhanced Solomon Login enforces tighter security rules on Solomon passwords.  It can require any combination of password rules such as conforming to maximum/minimum lengths, including certain character types (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters) or password expiration by time.  Users can be required to change their password periodically, prevented from re-using passwords, or even prevented from changing their passwords.  It can disable users that exceed the allowed number of failed login attempts, or temporarily disable them for five minutes.  Each of the rules can be set to your requirements, or not used at all.  There are other rules regarding character masks, character repetitions, limiting the frequency of password changes, etc.

In addition to enforcing many password rules, it also does many other things.  It can send email alerts when warnings are given, when passwords expire or become disabled or when the number of invalid passwords is exceeded.  It can log out inactive Solomon users, and disable the "Event logs exist" warning when logging in.   The password administrator can easily disable all Solomon logins when you don't want any active users, disable specific users or require a user to change their password at next login.  It can even take the login credentials from the network for an integrated login.  All password data is fully encrypted.  It works in single and multi-server environments, as well as for remote clients using Cetrix MetaFrame Servers and Microsoft Terminal Servers.

It was specifically developed to comply the requirements defined by the federal Sarbanes-Oxley Act that requires internal controls on accounting systems.  The Enhanced Solomon Login is not a customization or add-on to Solomon.  It replaces the existing Solomon login.  Since no customizations or tables are created in the Solomon databases, it can be easily installed in parallel into an existing Solomon installation, without affecting current users.

Besides the expanded feature set, one of our Enhanced Solomon Login's best selling points is the fact that it is not a "customization" to Solomon.  It is a completely independent application that is "Solomon aware".  There are no customized Solomon screens, nor are there any tables, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, etc that get installed into the Solomon databases.  It uses only Solomon's existing security tables.

To install our product, all you need to do is copy the programs into their subdirectory and replace the Solomon parent.exe with the one from our product.  The uninstall process is just as simple - just put back Solomon's parent.exe.  Since nothing was put into Solomon's databases, nothing needs to be uninstalled.
